jumpin’ in the ‘burgh!

What is it with warm weather and jumping photos… the action, the perspective, the shadows… the crazy faces, the cute feet, the just plain FUN! Maybe it’s the fact that my son is always jumping. Anyway, we spent the weekend in Plattsburgh and Brendan’s starting to have an appreciation for the college Pete and I went to. Of course, it’s got a huge duck pond with a sprinkler in front of one of the biggest buildings so I suppose the true interest lies more in that than the amazing architecture and history of the campus…

Yeah, I know this one is blurry but I love it anyway…

Many of you have been asking so here’s a peek at the redesign… the new website is still in the works but I’m hoping to have something live by the end of the month. In the meantime, I’ll continue to post a few snippits here on the blog and you can still contact me through tjm creative until further notice. I’m booked through the end of April but I’m happy to discuss any upcoming projects now. Thanks for the interest!

Took the family to The Tribute Gardens today for the first time. I was scoping it out for a shoot scheduled in a couple weeks and wow! Love that place!! It was a beautiful day and I couldn’t resist a few shots of my boys…

And not to be forgotten, Kyra got some Daddy time in today too…

Everyone has particular signs of spring that get them excited about the upcoming warmer days… for some it’s daffodils in bloom, for others it’s green grass, or maybe buds on a lilac tree. For me, it’s this… a yard full of bikes, trikes, scooters, skateboards, chalk, and other signs of life reminding me I need to stock up on Capri Suns and popsicles!

Finally, here’s a quickie tag for the newly named baby A. It’ll accompany a surprise box of goodies and I hope to get approval to post a photo soon!

kids expo

Crazy fun at the Kids Expo this year! Brendan had a blast meeting all the characters, hanging out on all the firetrucks and police motorcyles, boats, and 4-wheelers. But the parade on Sunday was the highlight for the kids. Okay, okay, Pete and I enjoyed it too! Of course, I consider most anything that involves fried bread dough a success!

fever and photog

This was Kyra yesterday. I didn’t realize at the time she had a spiking fever though I had noticed her grabbing at her ear again. I’m thinking ear infection but I’m hoping it’s just teeth.

And what to say about this guy…

He had school pictures yesterday and had told me all week he wanted to wear his blue dress shirt. Of course, being the Mom-of-the-Year that I am, I didn’t realize it was sitting in the dirty laundry until that morning so I threw it in for a quick wash. When it came out, I noticed 2 big stains on the front. What cracks me up most is that he told me he wanted to wear a tie! Okay, I said… who am I to interfere with his developing style! But at the same time, when I showed him the stain he shrugged and said “That’s okay, I’ll still wear it.” I suppose it would have gone well with the ripped jeans he chose to wear but my reply was an emphatic “No.” He was agreeable to his white shirt and could’nt have looked any cuter. I love this boy… ripped jeans and all!
